ABOUT ME

Takesha has been writing since the tender age of 12, an alumnus of Rosa Parks Fine & Performing Arts High School in Paterson, NJ - where she majored in Creative Writing, led her to pursue and later received her Bachelor's degree from Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ.  A New York native, Takesha began her literary career, fresh out of college at her 1st job as Managing Editor of Black Elegance / BELLE magazines in New York in 1999. From there on she went to serve as Senior Freelance Writer at City & Suburban Styles, and Urban Soul magazines. In the Fall of 2000, she joined Sterling MacFadden's Jive/Intimacy Urban True Confessions magazine line as Editor-In-Chief (Bronze Thrills, Black Confessions, Jive, Black Romance).

In her spare time, you'll find her dancing like nobody's watching, spending time with her family, drawing and painting or most often - writing on her tablet. It is her hopes that by sharing her words with the world, it would help make it an even better place.
